The Perfect Pumpkin Pie

It’s a staple for every table – yes, Thanksgiving wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without a sweet and succulent pumpkin pie.  Delight your family and friends with this quick and easy recipe, and have a very happy holiday.


1 9-inch pie crust

3 cups pureed cooked pumpkin
1 1/4 cups condensed milk
3/4 cup egg whites, whipped
2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix the sugar, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, mix the pumpkin, milk, and vanilla.  Fold in the whisked egg whites.  Stir the mixture until smooth then combine it with the sugar and spices.
  4. Pour the completed mixture into the pie crust then bake for 45-50 minutes, until the filling is set and the crust is golden.

Leave to cool and then serve.  Delicious!
